Answer: In general, parental or guardian consent is required for a physician to treat a minor for HIV/AIDS, including in-school-based clinics. Family planning clinics can provide only family planning related care to minors with the minors' consent. Minors who are married can consent for their care, as can minors who are pregnant/parenting.
